INTRODUCTION

We have simplified our terms of business as we are confident that our clients will honour their contract with us and in return we shall endeavour to ensure that all of our obligations are fulfilled to the best of our ability. However, your attention is drawn to the following terms of business before signing your booking form.

BOOKINGS

A provisional booking may be made over the telephone and is validated upon our receiving a completed booking form, together with a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total villa rental, within FOUR DAYS. If these documents are not received within this period we cannot be held responsible if the booking is subsequently not available. Written confirmation of a booking will be sent by us and extras such as car hire and taxi transfer will be added to the final balance, which is payable not less than EIGHT WEEKS prior to departure. If the balance is not paid by the due date the Company reserves the right to cancel the booking and levy cancellation charges as set out below. For bookings made within 8 weeks of departure, full payment must accompany the booking form. The person signing the booking form acts on behalf of those named on it and he or she becomes responsible to us for all payments in relation to the booking.

PRICE GUARANTEE

Our villa prices are guaranteed against surcharges, subject only to Government action which would materially alter the rates of exchange. This guarantee does not extend to car hire or taxi transfer rates. The prices quoted are per villa per week according to the weeks shown and cover electricity, central heating, water, linen, laundry, maid service, welcome pack and pool maintenance. Not included are flight costs, travel insurance, airport transfers and hire cars.

AKROTIRI VILLAS CRETE are the sole agents in the UK for the owner of the villas and the Company does not own or operate airlines, properties, hire cars or other facilities mentioned. It does not, therefore, accept any liability for death, personal injury, loss, damage or inconvenience arising from the provision of these holidays, where due to neglect, act of omission of any other company, firm or individual or the employees or the agents thereof. Furthermore, Akrotiri Villas Crete shall not be liable for death, personal injury, damage, loss or inconvenience caused as a result of any matter outside the reasonable control of the Company, including (but not limited to) Acts of God, Acts of Government, war, threats of war, terrorist activity, strikes or other industrial action.

CANCELLATIONS

By you
Any cancellation should be advised to us in writing as soon as possible. The following charges will be levied based on the date your written notice of cancellation is received:

More than 8 weeks prior to departure - Deposit only
6-8 weeks prior to departure - 50% of total cost
4-6 weeks prior to departure - 75% of total cost
Less than 4 weeks prior to departure - 100% of total cost

For your protection and security, it is a condition of booking our accommodation that you take out Comprehensive Travel Insurance when you book your flight, which would cover the above costs in the event of a valid cancellation claim.

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel your holiday through circumstances beyond our control, we will return all monies paid by you.

BREAKAGES

All breakages and damage to property should be reported immediately and paid for before vacating the villa. We reserve the right to charge for breakages and damage not reported and found after departure.

COMPLAINTS

We believe that we provide the best possible accommodation and service for our guests during their stay but in the unlikely event that you have a complaint, please let us know immediately so that we can do our best to put the matter right.
