We have been working in the Villa Holiday business for more than 20 years on the Akrotiri Peninsula and during that time have managed 2 villa complexes for 8 and 14 years respectively, the latter being in the village of Kounoupidiana. It is, however, not the quiet village we moved to 14 years ago and we felt it was time to find somewhere more relaxing for our guests.

We believe we have found the perfect spot with the Artemis Apartments near Stavros and were delighted to be offered the exclusive contract for them for the 2005 and following seasons. The superb apartments nestling at the base of Zorba’s Mountain are set in beautiful, colourful gardens with a stunning pool and glorious views. They are air-conditioned, furnished to a very high standard and spotlessly maintained.

We are confident that our many returning guests will be delighted with the move and we look forward to seeing them, and welcoming new visitors, there this summer.

Our operation is fairly unique because it is personally supervised by us and we therefore have the advantage of being able to talk to our guests and listen to their comments while they are staying with us.

We are on hand during your holiday to assist with anything from booking cars to advising about sunburn remedies - and you can rest assured that we know the immediate procedures for all emergencies.

Many of our guests are regular visitors whose friends and relatives often join them and who then bring others to increase our holiday "family". New friendships are also made every year and people often get together at home to keep the Cretan spirit alive until the next holiday!

Our summer reservations commence on Tuesdays, when there are weekly morning flights into Chania Airport from Gatwick and Manchester. Tuesday day and night flights to Heraklion Airport can also be booked from most provincial airports.

Daphne or Reg will welcome you at Chania Airport but if you fly into Heraklion and have booked transportation through us a representative with your name board will meet you in the Arrivals Hall.

On arrival at your apartment you will find everything you need in the kitchen for a snack or next day's breakfast with our compliments. Our welcome hampers include tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, butter, jam, cheese, eggs, yoghurt, honey, wine, orange juice, water, tomatoes and fruit. Each kitchen is supplied with tea towels, washing up liquid, sponge, kitchen roll, cling film, foil, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper. Toilet rolls are also provided throughout your stay.

Many lasting friendships have been made through Akrotiri Villas and it is an ideal location whether you just want to relax or be more adventurous and explore the island.
